Cross Court Tennis Club was the setting for the Holiday Tennis Bash Fundraiser.  The event was organized by Arlington Junior Sean Gorwara (pictured above) and parents Simon and Geeta Gorwara.  Proceeds from the fundraiser went to the Premier Cares Foundation as well as the Rotary Club Metro Iloilo.  Premier Cares gives financial aid to those in need with colon or prostate cancer. The Rotary Club Metro Iloilo will be using the funds to help towns devastated by Typhoon Yolanda.   

 

Thirty-six players participated in the tennis mixer. Scores were recorded from each thirty-minute match and prizes were awarded to the highest scoring players. Congrats to Luca Toro, Nils Kenaston and Steve and Nancy Yi!

 

A silent auction and raffle were also held. Auction items included Giants Football tickets, wine baskets, spa services, movie tickets, restaurant gift certificates and more!

 

Food and drinks were generously provided by the Crooked Rooster Restaurant and Tea Talk, both located in Poughkeepsie.

 

A good time was had by all, and by night's end, over $5000 was raised!
